Question for those who replaced their rear speakers (not 6x9's) - coupe

Just wanted to know what the biggest sized speaker we could fit in there.

I know a 6 1/2" round would fit in there would a 6 3/4"?

Thanks in advance.

Which speakers are you specifically referring to? Get the best 6 1/2" speakers you can. I dont really see the need for 6 3/4" speakers back there. Not only will you have a harder time finding that size, but most high end manufacturers only make 6 1/2" coaxials. If the reasoning behind a slightly larger speaker is for sound purposes, i'm not sure what advantage you would gain. A 1/4" is negligable. Worry more about the sound quality instead of the size of the speakers.

I'm sure you've heard this before, but I would ditch the rear speakers all together and spend more money on the front soundstage. Especially in the coupe.

I'm referring to the speakers in the back seat on the side panels, not the deck speakers.

I've already replaced my fronts and once my sub box is done, I'll be ditching those crappy 6x9s.

I just want to know what size can fit in the sides since I was offered a good deal on some speakers.

Thanks.

I was referring to the side panel speakers as well. I would ditch those also.

In any case, you can definitely fit a 6 1/2" in there. The 6 3/4" might vary depending on the manufacturer of the speakers and mounting hole diamater reccomended by them.
