U guys know any multi chan.amp that will channel my subs and components. i have the CDT's(4ohm). and JL 10w6v2(dual 4ohm). anything less then $500.

Sure. Just get the 10w6v2 in either the d2 version or the d8 version (if they make a d8 version?). As in, get a dual 2 ohm or a dual 8 ohm version of the 10w6v2. This way you can wire it to present a 4 ohm load to the amp. A dual 4ohm (10w6v2d4) will not work.

If you plan on doing this install yourself, I would advise reading up on car audio. This is not a matter of "juice" (aka watts). This is a matter of resistance, aka OHMS. An amplifier outputs a certain number of watts at a certain number of ohms (aka at a certain resistance). Most of the time (ie: as long as it does not have a variable power supply) amps will give you a certain wattage rating at 4 ohms, and then a certain wattage rating at 2 ohms. You must make sure these number match up.

If your amp does 200 watts @ 4 ohms OR 400 watts @ 2 ohms, you want to match your sub to these numbers. In other words, look for a sub that can handle 200 watts at 4 ohms, or a sub that can handle 400 watts at 2 ohms.

That being said, any Pheonix amp that features "XeLOAD™ Stability" will work with any sub that can present a resistance load anywhere between 1 ohm and 4 ohms (inclusive of 1 and 4)- this includes the 10w6v2 (d2, d4, or d8 versions). This is because they feature a variable power supply which provides a consistant wattage output rating no matter what the resistance (ohms) is AS LONG as the resistance is at or between 1 ohm and 4 ohms. This is vs. ONLY providing abc wattage output rating at V ohms OR xyz ratting at W ohms (as described above).

JL "slash" series amps have a variable power supply like the pheonix amps that have XeLOAD. If the Phoenix amps can handle a balanced signal on its RCAs, then I would say choose between the JL "slash" and the Phoenix XeLOAD amps based on price and appearance. If the Phoenix amps do not accept a balanced-differential signal, I would go with the JL "Slash" amps. For more info on this do an AV forum search on "balanced inputs." I could not find a mention of whether the Phoenix amps do or do not accept balanced inputs. Might have to email them or hope someone on the forum knows.

 

There was a PG Reactor limited edition amp that sold on ebay for 425 + shipping. It is really 2 amps on 1 chassis. a ZX450 (75x4 close to 100x4 in real life) or 2x250 (don't know real life but at least some more) and a ZX500 (2x150 or 600x1 don't know real life 700-900x1 real guess) . only draw back is it is used...

I have 2, only 1 in the vehicle though...
