Digital Wheelz New Revision Housings in an 04 G coupe *PICS*
I was supposed to post these pics up a while back but was delayed b/c of job changes and getting accustomed to a new work environment etc etc blah blah. Well about a month ago I purchased the new 7'' Xenarc housing from Chuck aka God_of_CPU. I am fortunate that he's in Maryland so I didn't need to have it shipped and the poor guy went out of his way to meet me on a weekend to deliver me his product. Well I can honestly say I love the screen and housing, not to mention the level of service Chuck provided. My install was VERY consuming the first time around as I had bought another member's Xenarc screen and DVD player who is part of the National G club (pratik97-gay indian guy...lol j/k) in my region. The xenarc screen ribbon cable kept coming loose which caused me to have to constantly rip the dash apart to fix and replace and put back together. Other than that the install may have only taken 4-5 hours tops. But in my case it took about 2 days, again because of the broken clip holding in place the ribbon cable. Finally after receiving a new ribbon cable clip courtesy of XENARC (free of charge!!) things were back to normal.
My setup is an Innovatek FD-7 DVD player and the 7'' Xenarc screen for now. I currently have the FD-7 mounted in the upper cubby/glove box where the OEM NAV would go. Plans are underway though for either a PS2 slim or Xbox to be installed. I also took the time to connect my 4GB Ipod mini to the PAC audio adapter. I ordered the PAC adapter on Ebay from a guy in Roanoke VA, for about $90 shipped, the reason the adapter was so pricey was b/c it included a 5-10ft Y splitter which wouldve been required anyways and wouldve cost the same amount if not more than what I paid. Anyways, here are some pics...
