Any market for stock nav systems?

I was just curious that IF I was to remove the stock nav system and replace it with the DD/aftermarket nav setup, is it possible to remove the stock nav intact and reusable, and would anyone be interested in it?

Also, can you retrofit the factory nav dash to make it look like the factory non-nav dash with the cubby hole? I"m assuming if you just buy the DD kit without nav and buy the cubby hole, you could make it work.

Or would it just be easier to leave the factory nav in place. AFter using my wife's lexus nav with touch screen, I am envious.

The problem is with the wiring harness.
It's completely different in a nav equiped car.

The nav is useless in any other car.

I know of one person that did a retrofit,
but it was a DIY from hell.

Thanks for the info. IF I do it, probably just leave the factory nav intact. Guess it would turn into a really expensive MPG estimator and maintenance indicator.

I could do the extra speaker to save the factory nav, but I like the clean install of a touch screen versus a single DIN install. Or I could just get a non-nav headunit/screen.

Decisions, decisions...
