Hey folks. My Sedan is SAT ready and falls in for those that are prewired. Can we buy any XM tuner or does it have to be one for our cars?

Your car (if pre-wired or not) is configured to work with the FACTORY satellite radio kit (either XM or SIRIUS) ONLY!!!

If you would rather buy an "aftermarket" satellite radio receiver, you will have to use the "FM Modulated" version which will play through your factory radio, but only if tuned to some frequency like 88.7 FM. Also, you will have to mount the "aftermarket" head unit/controller somewhere on your dash or console and change the satellite radio stations on that unit.

The FACTORY satellite radio receiver is controlled through the buttons and display that is already in/on your factory radio.
