How the heck does the 06 stereo come out?
Between the NAV, the dual zone, and the fact that none of the photos show a stereo that looks like what is in my 06, I'm a bit lost as to how to get it out so I can install the PAC adapter behind the head unit. My clock looks like its part of my dual zone screen panel, does all that stuff have to come out?
Ive got the bottom of the stereo/AC/NAV unit all loose, but the top is obviously still bolted down somewhere. I guess I'm on my own ?
Are there shop manuals I can buy for the 06 yet?

I'm guessing that the '06 is the same as the '05 which is different from all previous years. The top bolt holding the aluminum bracket in is directly below the clock. You do not need to remove the clock itself. Remove the trim piece above the clock and then remove the trim piece in front of the clock. You'll then see the bolt that needs to be removed.
As suggested above, all I did was tug on the trim around the AC/Clock display up on the dash..the top piece pulls out, and the bottom piece pulls up. After that, there's a big shiny screw right there...no clock or AC panel removal necessary.
There's also 4 screws that hold the stereo bulk to the dash, and you can pretty easily find those by pulling off the trim around the radio.
All in all, its not that bad of a job. Just knowing how the stuff comes off is the challenge.
