it is an awesome setup. i'd love to see more pics of the head unit - especially, close-up pics of the navigation screen of the kenwood, and kenwood's iPod interface. /me subscribing!!!
Ummm Just so you know there is no aftermarket HU that has an iPod interface that plays video or gives any kind of photo output I just used the AUX input and the Apple iPod A/V Cable. I also had to Move the A/C controls because the factory HU is attached to the A/C controls and would have been in the way.. Another reason I was ok with this is because I almost never use the controls I just turned it on and set the Temp @ 75 and left it there so that I could keep the dash looking clean as if the HU did everything.

ok i see. so you *could* buy an external AC controller and install it where the original AC controller was on the dashboard, right?

Yes I could but won't.. at the time the install was done it was too much of a pain to get the JDM Dash but in the end I kinda like it this way cause if a thief wanted it they would really have to rip it to bits just to get at it because it's actually molded perfectly around the screen so you can't just pull it out from the front like the JDM dash..

Wow

That is exactly what I have wanted to do but with a Pioneer Double Din. I didnt think it was possible. What did you have to purchase as far as the dash goes?
