proprietary, only way is cutting, extending by soldering in your own extensions. I would not reccomend doing this at all do as it has potential for parasitic capacitances, resistances and inductances...always remember, the shorter, the better for SIGNAL wires....power doesn't care though....
I Just Did This Two Days Ago On My Car.i Installed An Avic-d1 With An External Dvd Player.i Didnt Want To Have To Reach Under The Seat To Chage Dvds So I Extended All 25-30 Wires.on The Smalller Wires I Cut A Printer Cable And Cut The Wires One At A Time Til All I Had Left Was The Gps Sensor And The Other Plug.i Also Used A Little Heavier Gauge Wire For The 2 Black Wires And The 2yellow Wires Because They Were A Little Thicker.for The Two Gps Sensor Looking Cables I Used One Sheilded Cable That Had 2 Wires And For The Other Two Pin Cable I Used A Sheilded Wire With Three Wires.if You Have Any Questions Please Respond Back And I Will Try To Answer Them For You.
