Calling someone 'crazy' due to YOUR listening tastes is as bold as the title of this thread. I personally cant endure the ear shattering sound of MBQs, does that make me crazy as well?

The HU isnt going to make that much of a difference to make something sound horrible. I ran my stock HU for many months prior to swapping it out. Granted with substantial processing, but still OEM head.

i am saying he is crazy for putting a title like that when MB Quart has always had a good reputation...of course there are going to be people who don't like them but that doesn't mean you say "Don't buy MB Quarts."

Going along with speakers are all about opinion and personal preference, IMO (which is a get-out-of-flame-free card anyways) MB is trash, and so are Focal. I have heard both in person both on a sound board in an audio store and in a car and I hated them. But that's just me This whole "IMO" thing is fun!!!

I will have to disagree with the MB Quart statement. I do agree that the highs are a bit harsh, but when you're driving down the road and the road noise muddies out your sound, the harshness goes away.

Plus, you can always turn down your tweets with the jumper switches in the xover.

I like MBs.

I have QSD's in the front and PCE in the rear with a JL 10w6v3 in a 4080 box run by two phoneix gold amps. Sounds incredible. The mid bass from the QSD's are insane.

If someone were to not recommend MB Quart, a better reason would be that they are no longer in business and therefore, no warranty.

So in other words, do not do any dampening to your doors, and hope that road noise overfloods you to cover up the bad sound??

Why not just use speakers that sound good?

What unreliable source informed you of this?

Well Im sorry if ppl are so offended with that title, but i just want to warn ppl that IMHO MB Quart PCE 216 arent that great standing up against edi6500s. Im considering changing to DLS up6 or simplily just get the edi6500s since i know i wont be disappointed by it.

DLS UP6! Then you can be part of the DLS cult on here. I need to ask El_duderino if I can be the leader. My title would be His Most Auditoriness.

Telling people not to buy a product based simply on YOUR opinion is way overboard. Maybe a better title would be "My impressions of MBQ".

Furthermore as I stated above your comapring different vehicles, transports and amplification. So "knowing" you wont be dissapointed is yet to be confirmed.

el_duderino has exceeded their stored private messages quota and can not accept further messages until they clear some space.

Sigh.. he's too popular.

Yea i took your advice to change the title since i dont want to start a war about MB Quart. And again the title before i am just trying to warn ppl that this PCE216 is just too bright, and simply im just dissappoint by them.

As a solution i will try to change the jumper settings and also i am looking at new front speakers to replace, example right now when i hear my friends edi6500s im impressed by it everytime.

And it would be great if some one can advice some speakers thats similiar to edi6500s that wont break the bank. Or else im also happy if i just get edi6500s but it would be great to know more options.

And for the sub i turned up the bass thing on the head unit and it now hits louder.

there is also some spray that el_duderino talked about at one point that you can spray on "Bright" speakers that can help un-bright (??) them. do a search, I 'm too lazy
