Sorry, I know this was asked already. How do you switch between modes. Playlist and direct mode?

Why does the crutchfield link tell me that this is not recommended for my 05/sedan/Bose system? This can't be right.

^^^ Although the Crutchfield sites ays that it is not compatible, the manual that comes with the product specifically states that it's compatible with G35 (4 Door and Coupe) 03 - 05. I haven't installed mine yet (on an 03.5), but there are other people on the forum who have installed it on an 03.5, 04, and 05.

Hi - if you have not yet installed it, can you take a picture of the dip switch area? I am thinking of either adding an external switch or of mounting it in such a way that I might be able to reach the dip switch thru a hole in the rear of the top cubby that I currently use for the blitzsape. Thanks!

Any suggestions on where to order the clip for the ipod?

Everyone seems to go with ProClip but as other have pointed out it seems kinda expensive. Any alternatives that work as well?

To everyone interested in getting a USA Spec iPod® Interface for your G. Crutchfield sells this item for $119.99. However, let me help you get it w/ shipping for less than $100.

Explanation:
Crutchfield Item #581PA11NIS = $119.99
Promo code ($20 off $100 or more) = 3A172 exp:7/31/06
Call 888-955-6000 to place order, Give item #, Coupon Code, and ask for FREE shipping as a courtesy.

Total:
$119.99 - $20 -$6.99(S&H) = $99.99

I just placed my order and everything went as described. I should have the unit early next week.
Thanks Fuzz, ordered mine today!!!

If you are referring to the ability to control via the steering wheel, then yes.

Sorry if im beating a dead horse here but, just to clarify. If I want to switch from PLAYLIST MODE to DIRECT MODE, I have to dissasemble the dash to get in the back of the stereo and flip a little switch? Am I correct on this?

OR

Is that switch box supposed to be somewhere visible so it can be swicthed anytime....

the switch is on the nis11 (white lil amp looking thing). look at the directions on which switch to flip, its either #1 or #2.

Also if you are going to be continuing switching it, i would recommend placing it someplace more accessable. one place which is right under the ashtray area. that are is easy to get too by just removing a few things. In my 04 6mt all i need to do is pull the whole shifter area to get access.
