Remote Start: Viper 791XV or 160XV?
I am purchasing a remote car starter for my 2004 G-Coupe 5-AT. What is the forum's opinion of the Viper 791XV (Security & Remote Start w/2-Way remote) or the 160XV (Remote Start Only)? I found the 791XV for $180 which sounds like a great price. Otherwise I would only get the remote start option with the 160XV.
Will I need additional relays for the door lock/unlock function?
Anything I should have the installer pay special attention to when installing the system? Something about the wiring harness?

nothing is wrong with the viper its great but the clifford is supposed to be the next best thing and blows it away....now fyi if you get remote start for your car you will need to sacarife 1 of your keys....something about some chip in our keys that prevents theft.....and to remote start the key needs to send a signal of some sort to do a remote start. the viper along with the stock alarm is fine you can actually have 2 alarms at the same time....you can still use the key fob normally....good luck

Since no one has ever SEEN a G5 av5.5x (including ANY Viper dealer), no one knows if it will blow it away or not. But it will be effing expensive. I would NOT be a guinea pig on this one myself.
Pesonally, I'd get the Clifford Matrix 3.5RSX. Same guts as the Viper, better looking remote.
Remember, overpay for the install. Find the absolute best install shop you can. Most of the cost is install.
