my 04 coupe install

i finally got around to taking some shots of my 04 coupe install. please let me know what you all think. questions suggestions welcome. im an installer so if you are looking for a box or something pm me. thanx

btw the trunk was designed to still have a little bit of room to put stuff in. soon i will be swapping the amps out in favor of jl slashs (1000/1 and 450/4) with a single 12 or 13 w7.

just got to hardwire that passport RD to get rid of that spiral cord. Nothing that a RJ11 connector and running the phone cord along headliner, down pillar A and under glovebox can't do.....

I like the system, but i dont like the dash. im sure its a nice unit, but the filler just looks like a$$. Im not tryin to knock your setup, thats just my opinion. You might want to look into a grill for your sub if your planning on putting stuff in the trunk.

the dash piece is going to be molded in and painted and a center channel is going in the top cubby as soon as i get my processor. i am leaning towards a 12w7. the box in there currently is one i made specifically for the sub. 4080 does not make a 12 box that i know of.

Looks great. Did you replace the comps as well, or are you using the factory speakers? If you're going for the slash amps, you should probably change the speakers too.

its really not that bad. i just set them and drive. its not necessary to change them every minute. i really wanna check out the new avic-z1. i was thinking of switching it out with the n1 and putting that in my truck. we'll see. i have to save up some more money. as for the speakers i am running infinity kappa perfects in front and alpine type r's in the rear, just for a little rear fill. i have the tweets in the stock location but may move them into the kicks to get a little bit better imaging. right now the sound stage is set at my shoulders, a little lower than i would like it to be.
