2 Questions..........

1. Outside of the dealer telling you, how would you know if you have the "Preimum Bose" system?

2. If you have the "Preimum Bose" System, does it suppose to play MP3's on CD or is their something else I have to do?

Basically, I thought I had a premium bose system because of the amp in the trunk, but when I first brought the car, i tried a CD with nothing but MP3's on it and it didn't read the CD..The guy at the dealership to me they have to add it or something like that

is this true?

If I'm not mistakling the Premium sytem have 8 speakers and the Non-Premium 6.

 

Take the black support flooring out of the left side of your G35 trunk (under the carpeting). If you see a metal silver amplifier underneath a metal bracket, you have the premium.

Only 2005 (or is it 2006?) and newer will play MP3s in the stock deck.

Mp3's were put in on the 05+. my 05 has it. they replaced the tape deck with Mp3

and it should say Bose on the headunit itself...

 

I dont think "premium Bose" are stand alone options, its part of "premium pkg" so if your rear view mirrior have home-link bottons and then yes you have "premium Bose", I dont think 03's Bose can play MP3 but arent sure.
