Has anyone ever installed a Remote Starter themselves?

If you've never installed one before I wouldn't recomend trying to learn on a newer Nissan. They are fairly straight forward, but there are a couple small things here and there that can confuse a first timer. I would say the hardest part is running wires in to the doors, followed by the second starter wire. After that, its cake.

Hmm, good question, related: my audio install is all self install, as is my CarPC (still in progress), and I've done audio installs of somewhat less complexity on 3 other cars, although all of them included replacing amps and speakers.
Whats going to be more difficult/or cause me more problems for a car alarm/remote start install?

Id recommend leaving it up to a pro. Plus the vipers are suspossed to be sold and installed @ a authorized dealers only(self install=no warranty). The running wires into the door isn't for the windows its for integrating into the factory alarm and door locks. The g35 also has a microchip in the key which has to be integrated, and if you have an intella key its alarm only as nobody has a integration module out yet.

I just spent 3 hours last weekend running wire into the doors for new speakers, so I know all about that. I have an 05 coupe, so it's not the intellikey, and since I put my entire audio system in myself as well, I could care less about warranties.
The only thing I am concerned about is if there is something drastically different from wiring an audio system

Huh, well I guess I'd say it goes back to which tech one gets when one calls. They also dont have anything on the tech site about the 06's, and theres nothing posted about what to use on the m35/45. I commend you on getting it done though.
Back to task on hand, installing an alarm isnt to bad, installing a remote start is far different story.
