So I am abotu to take my car in to get my system installed and teh bose HU just died the night before. It shut off and was able to be turned back on until the following morning. I brought it in for servic and they cannot find a problem so they are just replacing the unit.

Anyone have this issues? Now I am in a bind since I am supposed to drop my car off to get the system installed but the dealer wont be replacing the radio for another week until it comes in. The radio works fine now, I guess it makes sense to wait it out now since going back with a full audio system installed might create warranty issues...this sux

 

I just had my head unit (Blose) lock up in my 05 coupe last night. Was turning volume down while listening to radio. All HU controls frozen, display frozen, but the steering wheel controls still worked.

Turned off the car and restarted 5 minutes later and all OK.

Anyone else having these issues?

 

God is telling you to replace the Headunit...do I smell double din?

You don't need to get another screen, just a better quality CD/mp3 Headunit, that can provide a better listening experience. I'm not an audio expert like others on this board, but from my understanding...an aftermarket HU is always better than the stock HU...the killer is the $400 for the DD kit.
