Question Bluetooth Cell Phone troubles - Sounds like I'm in a tunnel.

Does anyone else have problems with their blue tooth enabled speaker phone? When I go wireless and use the blue tooth, people say it sounds like I'm in a tunnel or in a really big room with a speaker phone. I don't have the fan blowing and the windows are rolled up. Any suggestions?

Other than that, I absolutely LOVE my new 2006 g35.

I have a recorded phone conversation with the Infiniti Bluetooth Helpdesk where they admit that there is a known issue (read as "Bug") with low microphone volume that cannot be adjusted on the G, FX, and Q cars.

But, the Infiniti Customer Care "manager" that I am working with has no integrity and won't admit that the feature does not work at an acceptable level. I don't know where they got this lady, but she is absolutely full of it. It seems to her that the fact it works at all is acceptable. I told her that if the car sputterd when going uphill, it might still get me to my destination, but it would not be acceptable performance for my $40,000 car.

Tomorrow, I am going to try and escalate it to someone honest there that is willing to help. Otherwise, I will be asking you all for every Infiniti message board out there and posting that .wav file to each of them. If this feature can't work at an acceptable level, then they should not advertise it and should not have installed it in the car.

same here.

i'm still happy with it tho. keep in mind that bluetooth handsfree kits are relatively new to the market -- i'm not sure if the infiniti service manager has any power to change that. i have also yet to find a good bluetooth wireless headset that works as well as a wired one. the BT handsfree kit on my wife's acura sounds the same also. i think we need to give the engineers a little more time to perfect it...

bah, givin the engineers more time is bogus. [i'm an engineer] mic's on laptops work much better than the one in our cars. it's not rocket science. i don't mind too much but i do find myself speaking VERY loudly driving around using the handsfree system.

I love mine. I have heard that I dont sound perfectly clear and Ive also heard that, at times, I sound horrible. But, Id rather be driving and talking on my phone with Bluetooth then fumbling with my phone in one hand, the wheel in another, and somehow shifting at the same time

I've got the same problem. Unless I speak very loudly or tilt my head up and speak into the microphone, the person I'm talking to has trouble hearing me.

You know what.. Ive only had one person ask if I had them on speaker phone.. but I said, no it the integrated BT in my car and they said, COOL.

If you dont like the BT that much.. I guess you can just get a cool headset??

Yes, right speaker only....they probably did this to avoid feedback problems which is probably also why they have the mic volume set so low.
