Chris,
What type of foam tape did you use when you installed your module? I figure that when I have my door panel off I might as well apply some myself. (Good idea BTW, I never thought of that.)

I tried the auto-locking disable routine you posted and it didnt' work and I disconnected power when I swapped diodes and it didn't default back to the 'off' position. So I don't know what's going on with that.

On a positive not I've been having success with raising all windows. I did notice, however, that sometimes the backs still will not raise all the way if they are lower than the fronts. I must perform the 'raise routine' two complete times to get them to go up.

All in all, it's working better, but not 100%.

 

did you get one of the new ones? or is the one that you have one of the old ones? easiest way to tell is open the box up and tell us if the board is green or yellow.

I'm positive I have the old board. On the thread you guys mentioned that you were waiting to receive some new boards before any other orders where going out...and I had already received mine. If you want me to open it up and verify, it won't be until next week sometime...as I'm extremely busy for the next week.

 

yeh you have the old board then. i got the one with the new board on saturday. the only thing i can say, if you have already changed the diode, is to contact kevin and let him know.

I followed this thread a couple of months ago, now I've reread some but thankfully just the last parts. My interest is the automatic door lock as a safety measure, since I can't seem to remember to do that most of the time. Also, it will ensure that my wife always locks the car when she drives as well. It's a little pricey, but I'm going to go ahead and get it, although I can see a lot of people passing because of the cost. The window up function will probably never be used by me.

 

as for being pricey, i dont think its pricey after all the work that went into the project and the testing. all is workin now and is a very nice mod. the new boards are awesome and people should be gettin theirs sometime this week. orders were shipped out on friday last week. i took some pics today of the new ones, but the camera i had wouldnt auto focus so the pics are really blurry. my roommates just got back from california and one of them has a better camera but the battery is dead. so its chargin and ill take some better pictures tomorrow.

Addressing the remote start, is it possiable to use the panic button on the remote ?

There is no way that I know of to convert the panic button to a remote start button. You have to keep in mind that a remote start with the range of a factory transmitter might not be that convenient.
