I looked into OEM parts, they are WAY too expensive and hard to come by (unless I go directly to a dealership who will charge an arm and a leg).

There are tons and tons of noise makers availible, I just have to find one that is loud enough and weatherproof!

The EEProm upgrade is needed, but I've been very busy working on some new stuff and its hard to justify trying to fix something that isn't necesarrily broken.
My auto-lock feature stops working after a week or two. I'm not really sure when it happens, I just sometimes notice it's not locking the doors anymore. After I reprogram it, it works fine for a while.

I'll try to work on a 'fix' for this next week. Once its done I'll be able to send update chips to people who want them.

I made the code changes last night while traveling between Lexington Ky and Nashville Tn. I will try to test out the new chips this weekend and if they work they will be included in all window modules from now on. If anyone wants one of the new chips send me an Email to Kevin.Pierson@KPtechnologies.net

The only change is that I moved the status register to the EEProm and out of volatile memory (meaning if the module loses power it doesn't lose its settings). I also think I found the little bug that hangs out in the programming section that sometimes switches the door locking feature on and off after only 2 presses instead of the 3 like its supposed to!

No, I still haven't been able to test the code in a car. The body shop told me my car would be done today but I called them at lunch and they are STILL waiting on parts. I just don't feel comfortable sending out anything that is untested (my simulator doesn't recreated the 'noise' of the cars electrical system that I have had issues with in the past.

Thanks,

I have something else for you (and Joe) to test. I'll update you when my next parts shipment comes in! Lets just say its the window module we've all been dreaming of (or at least the one I've been dreaming of).

Yeah, the window mod will eventually supprort a 'window down' feature. This is mostly for use with the sunroof module (and for people who hate to hold the button down to put the windows down).

Oh, and I have bad news on the sunroof module. Its number 3 on our 'to do' list. We did our taxes tonight and basically I can't afford to finance a project like that right now (too much custom parts). It kinda sucks to find out all the work you did for the past 8 months was for free as we weren't even close to profitable

Just a quick update:

Barry, Allan and Dave your chips shipped out last week with instructions on how to do the swap.

If anyone else wants the new chip (should fix auto-locking issues) let me know.

Thanks,

Kevin

Oh, and the Sunroof module is moving up the list quickly and should be somewhat ready by ZdayZ.
