Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
Update: We received the microcontroller programmer in the mail yesterday! We loaded the code onto a test chip and will be doing testing with it this weekend. Again, things are going at a snail's pace but we are still moving!?!?
Tworets: The device is designed to roll up the windows on command from the factory remote. It will also lock the doors when the ignition is turned on. Most of the tweaking has been timing and fail safe related. We haven't added anything else in terms of extra functions.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
Last night I was in the middle of a three hour drive and I was thinking about the alarm/remote start I am in the process of installing in my 04 coupe. I want the ability to roll windows up and I was thinking of possible ways acomplish this. I know (from experiance) there are (-) trigger wires in the drivers door to roll the windows up, so it should be easy enough to build a circuit to roll the windows up on the double pulse of the door lock. So tonight I looked on here and found that you all were a few steps ahead of me. This weekend I plan on building the circuit I designed and if all goes well do it yourself kits will be around $15 (PCB included) and fully asembled and tested boards will be $25. Features that I'm planning on now will be windows up on second pulse of lock (within 1s of first) and door locks locking after ignition on for 5s and unlocking immediately after ignition is shut off. The door locking feature can be disabled by cutting a jumper wire on the board. Let me know what you all think!

Not sure if already mentioned... but upon double pulse of the lock button would that also include closing sunroof? Or did I open a can of worms

I think another reason was that the Sunroof controller is too far away from where the window controls are. and would require a long wire to be run up into the roof area.
I hope we will be able to turn off the door locking feature if we don't want it?
I'm not really sure if I would like that....
keep up the good work!

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
I finished testing the software this weekend and it all works! I have a few final hardware 'bugs' to work out, mostly related to using 5vdc logic in a 12vdc car, but nothing too major. The features are as I expected, upon two door lock pulses from remote the windows will go up. After the ignition is on for 5 seconds the doors will lock and once the ignition is shut off they will unlock almost immediately. The ignition controlled door locks will be defeatable by cutting a jumper on the board. The sunroof control would be almost impossible mostly do to the fact of the tilt/close functions on the same switch. I believe it can be done, but it would take more work then it is worth imo. I'm away again from my G this week for work but hopefully this weekend I'll have everything built and installed.
