Yup, which can be wired into the 200 via the cradle. Mount it in your trunk or whatever..... Take it out when you're going in another car....

Would this be compatible with the unit?

Are you asking if the Blackbird would be compatible with the Panasonic head unit? The Blackbird is controllable from an Alpine touch screen head unit. I think you might be able to get the video signal into the Panasonic but you'd have to control the navi from the Blackbird itself. The audio can go through the FM mod. I like the Panasonic because it lacks navi. If I wanted a navi unit, I'd go with the Eclipse.

So you mean to tell me that I can control the navigation in the front with the IVA-W200? Sorry for the dumb question but fairly new to most of these stuffs. Thank you

Nevermind, I thought that the panasonic was a navigation compatible with the IVA-W200. I just looked it up. Looks pretty good. What's the price on that bad boy? Would it do all of the things that I want like navi, dvd, mp3, bluetooth, etc....

The Panasonic is a double-DIN widescreen head unit with 6.5" screen. It plays CD/DVD/MP3. Bluetooth-ready. No navi. Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 decoding. About $750 shipped on ebay.

Correct. The screen on the Blackbird goes blank, and everything is controled through the Alpine head unit. Im not sure, but I assume ALL features of the blackbird are accessable through the head unit, like MP3's and wahtever else you store on the hard-drive.

In a month or two, the new double-din head unit will be 200 cheaper, and at leat 100 cheaper on the blackbird.
I already have the AI-NET XM and IPOD's, and I absolutetly love alpine products. In the mean time I'll buy an amp and spekers.
Eclipse does not spport XM. Ive been with XM for so long, every now and then they call and give me 1-3 months free!

blackbird is cool, but it just means more parts to deal with.... i doubt docking the blackbird to the w200 and using it from there would be as nice as other in-deck navi software..... the blackbird primary purpose is to be a personal gps unit, not one to leave in the car (so software wouldnt be as car oriented as one would like) .... that's just what i think

i have the pioneer 7500 deck (single din, screen comes out, separate brain unit)..... after looking at the Z1, and other all-in-one double din decks..... man, the install is so much simpler when everything is just confined in the deck. with the deck i have, had to mount the brain and run all this extra cable..... installation wise, getting a unit that has all the functions you want would save some time... and headaches later down the road when it comes to troubleshooting

and even if you're not doing the install yourself and have a shop do it, more parts for them to install means more chance for them to make mistakes.... or more panels and carpet they have to take out to do the install.....

thats just what i think, but if you're an audiophile and like to do everything.... more components and electronics, then that's cool too.

no matter what happens, post pics after u guys install, i wanna see =)

I just noticed something. I'm interested in a head unit that is Bluetooth-Ready. Both the Alpine and Panasonic units previously mentioned fit this description. However, both of the respective Bluetooth modules have call buttons that are only intended for call reception. Neither of the units supports voice dialing. I may have to look at the Kenwood now.

I just install the Alpine double din in my car. Its a pretty nice deck. Love the visual and ipod controls. Much better then the D1 when i had it. I havn't gotten the blackbird yet but i plan to sometime soon. Took me a while to install the unit. The first time i did it the units screen stuck out about an inch because of how thick the monitor was. but after 45min or so i was able to get the deck to sit back more so it was flush with dash. I'll try to get pictures up soon.
