06 Bluetooth
I need some help.
I've set up a Razr and then a Pebl on my Bluetooth and both sound like I'm talking in a hole. Is there a trick to setting the volume on the car/phone to get rid of this? I held off buying the my car so I could get all the 06 goodies and I'm not using them. The dealer is clueless. Hopefully someone here has a fix.
..and yes, I'm picking up the phone now. That doesn't count.
I want Bluetooth damnit!
Thanks in advance,
grace

The bluetooth system works, just not very well. It doesnt give you the best quality and some do complain about the mic volume which is un-adjustable. However, you can adjust the speaker volume with the **** or volume controls on the wheel. Its meant to work, and for us 6MT drivers, its a dream to have. I love mine

Thanks guys.
I've tried differing volumes on both the car (via the controls) and my phone.
A few phone books under me and I'll be tall enough to reach the mike.
That might hurt the cool factor.
I was hoping someone had a precise formula (volume 20, phone 6).
I'll try the car volume higher. Too bad there's not a tweak for the mic volume.

Bluetooth in my coupe sounds horrible to the person I am talking to and Infiniti openly admits it is a problem with the G, FX, and Q cars. I have a recorded conversation that proves it. I am just trying to find a place to host it and I will post it here.
If they come up with a fix, then great, otherwise, I feel that they owe us something for equiping the car with such an unusable feature. I asked Infiniti to do something for me to make it right and they basically told me to pound dirt. I also informed them I would be posting the recorded conversation on the web, so I do intend to do that in any Infiniti board I can find.

I have a Nokia and same thing, the person on the other end is always complaining that I'm cutting out or that they can't hear me, and that's with me talking loudly and directly at the mic. I end up always "transferring" call to "privacy" mode and picking my phone up. I've never had problems with signals or anything else with my phone, only prob. is when I'm using the car's bluetooth system.

I am less than thrilled with the BT in the coupe as well. People can hear me but say i sound like i'm on speakerphone (which technically i am i guess). However, i regularly have to tilt my head back to speak directly into the mic. Something i was toying with was relocating the mic to the front corner of the overhead controls or possibly off the A pillar. Has anyone already done this?
And not to be too careful, if the mic is that horrible, perhaps replace it? Is there a spec sheet on it floating around somewhere or at least a part #?

Another unahppy bluetooth user here.
Have my 06 Sedan paired with my Crackberry and it's always a dice role if the person on the other end is going to be able to understand the conversation.
Have played with different volume levels and it does seem like turning the volume down helps a little bit. It has to deal with canceling out what the person is saying on the other end (feedback) but it still is no where near perfect.
Other thing that is annoying is no caller id. I hate not being able to see who is calling. The Acura has it in the dash I believe..
Cheers,
Brian

I have a different system (Parrot 3200LS) with the mic on the a-pillar and it works very well according to those listening. It does come with a "noise-cancelling" mic so perhaps it is of better quality then the stock mic you have. You might look around. Those things can't be that expensive.
