Disappointed after sound deadening

I’ve dynamated my trunk and fat mat for the 4 doors, skin and inner door, and under the passenger seats, (2 layers) but no huge difference in road noise reduction. Should I spread some out on the floor?

I don't know what to tell you... I Dynamatted my front doors first - I was so blown away by the difference that I did the back doors, the trunk and the rear deck. Is it possible you just don't notice the improvement?

I am assuming that you put the Dynamat on the metal right???

mark, rear deck is the are between the top of the backseats and the rear glass... which is a highly rattle prone area of the G

for road noise, the main culprit is the wheel well areas and the floorboard IIRC. goto www.secondskinaudio.com (they make sound deadener) and check their forums, there is some useful info there... check their "Making Loud Machines Quiet" Forum

So you're deadening your car to reduce road noise only or to improve audio sound quality as well? If it's for road noise only, I'd change my tires first.
