Navigation problems with stereo upgrade
Navigation problems with stereo upgrade
I have two issues/problems as a result of my stereo system modifications. The modifications are as follows: One JL audio 500/1 monoblock wired to 2 JL 10w3w’s. Also one JL audio 300/4 wired to JL XR 6.5” components in the front and coax in the rear. Lastly, a Batcap 400. Everything is wired to my Bose Head unit, bypassing the bose amp, and using HI-LO converters.
The problems I am having is that the voice guidance volume is too loud. I have it set all the way down on my navigation setting, but still too loud. Secondly, when the voice guidance is ON it cuts the music completely, before it would just lower the music volume.
By the way, overall I am very happy with the sound quality of this setup…sooo much better than the Bose (blows). The only issue is some tweeter hiss at low volume…anything above “5” in volume you don’t hear it. I think this is due to the fact that I am forced to use the hi-lo converter with the bose HU? Man…my system would sound even cleaner if I could change my HU. But, too much custom work would be involved, plus I don’t think my navigation would work right with another Head unit?
Any help/advise is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
