Yes, that will work, it'll connect to the back of the radio, NOT the plug in the trunk.

Is that right?
Can anyone confirm my assumption?

Anyone knows how to remove the upper dashboard to install new vinyl?
Are there any screws, how many and where?
Is there any manual or video or pictures?

I'm adding myself to the long list of satisfied DIYers to the excellent installation instructions and pics here. I have an 06 AT coupe with Nav and Satellite. I don't use the SAT but wanted to run my iPhone through it. I ordered the iSimple PODNISGV6 from iCarKits.com and installed it on the weekend. The manufacturer's installation instructions were totally lame and without these pics I would have had to do a lot of trial and error because of the number of plug-ins. Installation was a breeze: basically plug and play. I love the gateway as I can use the steering wheel controls and it charges my phone. Thanks for once again saving me a ton of coin!

hey guys, question
I have an 07 AT coupe with no navi but it has xm. i listen to it all the time. Which product do I need for it?
I was on ipodcarpros and they have two listed:
http://www.ipodcarpros.com/p203/PA15...duct_info.html
http://www.ipodcarpros.com/p209/PA15...duct_info.html

i'm wondering if both connect behind the radio or does one connect on the xm tuner itself and then I run a line from the trunk to the front of car? Is the XM trunk way better to do? I'm wondering if it's a PITA to run the cable from the rear to the front.
I'd like steering controls and to have my XM working.

Thanks,
Reggie

PA15-NIS connects at the back of the radio, PA15-INFI connects at the satellite radio connector in the trunk, otherwise they're functionally the same. The INFI will be an easier install, as you won't have to remove the factory radio to do the install.

Awesome post!

I followed these steps and did the install on my 2005, It worked perfectly. I only snapped one plastic tab when I was popping off the plastic to the left of the radio. Other than that it went without a hitch!

Thanks again for the post! I don't think I would have taken this on without the easy to follow instructions.

Picked up the same setup with the proclip and the type S universal holder just gotta figure out how you screwed that thing to the proclip. Might just used double sided tape.

Opinions on this for a 2006 G35 Sedan?

& quality is static free, right? As if you're playing a CD or tape player AUX to mp3 player.

So much info here, tough to find exact answers to my question(s). First off, '06 sedan. I'd like to be able to connect my iPhone, and be able to listen to Pandora. I would prefer to also be able to charge it without using a separate cable. I would also prefer to maintain control via the iPhone instead of using the radio controls to navigate (they just aren't nearly as intuitive).

Obviously, for ease of installation, I'd prefer to use the rear SAT port. But having to open up the dash isn't a deal breaker for me.

Which unit meets all or the most of my needs?

Thanks!

The USA-SPEC PA15-INFI, set in direct mode will do what you want. You'll be able to use the steering wheel to skip and control volume.

Started having an issue with the auxiliary cable I have installed on my 2006 coupe (no navigation). Worked with my Ipod for over a year until recently, it still charges the Ipod but the OEM head unit doesn't seem to recognize it anymore. The AUX mode is no longer available. A third party shop recently pulled and reinstalled the transmission so there's a good possibility they fvcked something up since the wire runs under the center console, just wondering if there's something else to consider before removing the interior?

Can't remember which kit is installed but it came from a dealership.
