mr boca coupe.....you will not lose sound from the ipod if you go under a bridge while you're listening to it....the dilema is, when you initially turn the radio on, and you're in an area that has no satellite signal, the ipod wont work...but once the car has a clear signal for satellite, then you'll be able to listen to the ipod and it will not cut off.....for some reason, the ipod needs the initial sat signal to start.....i dont know why.....

uhmmm....dont remember..but i think they were all the same....(radio and from side panels.....did you drop one???.....it was kinda tricky taking out the ones on the upper right and left coners and also the top one.....i guess use a screw driver that has a magnet component to it....(i had one connected to the front of my screw driver)

Will this setup work on a non-satellite OEM radio? I'm hoping there's an unused or auxiliary input on the back of the head unit but haven't actually poked around to ascertain this.

Your DIY guide worked like a charm!

I drilled a couple of holes and ran the ipod connector through the cupholder closest to the driver.

I picked up a padded proclip mount for my 30gb 5G ipod. I used double sided tape to mount it to the underside of the cupholder lid. I can close the lid and still have use of one cupholder.
