^ that would be called an FM Transmitter - like the Griffin iTrip.

sure you can use one of those much easier. but good luck...the sound quality sucks! you'll be back here shortly looking to do what we've done here ^

Consider me another satisfied disciple of this DIY. I installed my USA Spec PA11 yesterday and everything went smoothly. Thanks!

Hey everyone i just did the same setup as on first page for my 05 sedan non-sat. I found a different Ipod adapter on eBay which comes with the RCA and a red(power)/black(ground) wire to charge the Ipod instead of using the power adapter. here is a link to the exact one i bought. I didn't take any pics because the instructions on the first page with pics where dead on.

^ this is what i used as well in my how-to here.

make sure if you want to use an iPhone instead of an iPod (like i did) that you get the version of this cable with the yellow video wire (i know, i know even if you don't/can't use it the cable has to have it to work with the iPhone...no clue why - just tape off the yellow and leave it unplugged).

Awesome DIY pictures and instructions. Thank you so much! Got mine done today, although I'd love some pictures of how someone routed the cable into the center console. Do I have to remove the little box or can I just feed the wire through?

anyone know how to tune to XM4,5,6,7? Mine only seems to stay on XM1 and the directions for my ipod module say to tune to 4,5,6,7 in order to hold the preset buttons down so I can change artists, etc. Can anyone shed any light on this subject?

Quick question, why do I have to shift it into drive? And how exactly do I keep my car from rolling when I do this? 05 AT

You shift in drive to give the radio console enough room to slide out. Leave it in park and try to remove the radio and you'll understand. Dont forget to put ure E Brake on.

That upper clock assembly trim piece is a b@#% to get out the first time because its glued to the rest of the dash. Don't be afraid to apply some force to get it unglued. Not too much though. You've gotta get it out before you get the lower trim piece out, because it has too small latches on either side, that the lower trim piece slides into. That keeps the 2 pieces together.
