Clock Lights

Has anyone who took apart the dash to get to the HU have the clock lights burn out? I just installed a PA11-NIS and now the clock doesn't light up. It keeps time, but the led back lights don't work. I really don't want to take everything apart and go back to stock to take it to the dealer. Do you think they would be a pain in the *** about this, or would they just change the leds? Any suggestions would help.

you can rip out that entire piece thats covering the clock and a/c display. grab the top of the piece and pull it towards the back of the car. dont be afraid of breaking it. it takes a lot of brute strength to get it out.

Well I've already taken it apart. You have to take the clock out to get the HU out. I don't know why the lights are burned out, but I can get the clock out but don't know where to get the actual lights. (They screw out the back of the clock.) I figured the dealer would charge like $50 for two small leds.

Hey man, just take it to the dealer and tell them, the light bulbs are burnt out, don't say anything else.

Don't tell them you just did the install, just tell them to replace the bulbs, they will do it, and most likely for free. the bulbs are supposed to last much longer.

If THEY bring up the install (which they won't) tell them you did it long time ago and the clock worked fine for weeks afterwards.

I had the same thing happen when I had my cell phone hands-free installed. The dealer would not warranty the two bulbs and they were damn expensive!

Funny you say that, I had my coupe in for the HU replacement because of the left channel blowing out and the right side of my clock light as well as my passenger side seat heater switch light blew out.

I hate dealers with a passion. I wish Infiniti gave owners the option of doing the work themselves with parts included.
