SASCA AutoX today and have in car videos.

Best time was 57.2 which wasn't bad, the rest were 58s and 59s. 350z did 56 for his best, and a race car was doing 55s. So I think I did well. And I knew if I tried to hard on the last run I would loose it, and I did but I regained control smile.gif Oh well.

Edit: On the best run my video camera didn't start recording it for some reason powered off. Dunno. Oh well.

That's nice that you have a long auto-x course. My work club's course is about 32-35 sec long, but we get 4 runs each since they are so short.

Thanks for the videos. Lots of tire squeeling and I noticed you hit the wipers during a run. I've done that too, lol. What tires and pressures are you running?

We got 7 run total yesterday. Not bad.

I went to 38 front and 36 rear at that time. These tires squeal way before the limits are gone.

BTW, at the starting line, it looks like you enter the course and immediately make a 90 degree right turn....this is so people don't do a drag race start and break driveline components.....you don't need to burn out when launching. It just causes wear on components and tires, plus heats those tires up. Since the course is so long, you'll want to delay heat buildup.

How much did your auto-x cost?

$20 bucks. Now the lights is when I start to turn right. I want to be going through the starting light as fast as possible everyoen and I mean everyone spun out. There was debri on the track everywhere so it was hard not to spin out. With all the extra TQ I have now in my car, 1st gear is useless to me now. I just spin.

Everyone's signatures have dissappeared. What mods do you have?

Is this an SCCA event? I thought SCCA courses were designed to have a running start to avoid hard launches.

Yes SCCA event. Dunno about that about hard launches, but they have them all the time like this. My car only has a ztube and the secret rev up motor motordyne mod.

Hey guys, don't forget that to fully disengage the traction control you need to actually lose traction so when autocrossing it's best to do it out of the gate.

G35_TX, do you ever make it to Houston? I'd love to see you at one of our events. I ran with the SASCA group a little over a year ago when I was there on a business trip. You have a real nice crowd there.

Yeah, one of the benefits of living in the hot and humid region of the country. The only time we shut it down is because of thunder.
