I think flat black would look terrible for a classy car like the G. Unless you use some 19s or 20s. IMHO anyway.

I do like dark though. so something dark but not completly black.

if you let them dry long enough youll be fine.

Waste of a comment, you have no idea. I have painted stuff for over 5 years can you tell me the difference between my rattle can job and a job done with my spray gun. The only difference is you probally have no control so it comes our spotty, on the other hand look at mikes rims no spot, no drips, no dirt. Its all in the prep work most people dont take the time to prep this properly when doing a rattle can job.

I have done a LOT of "equipment" painting. The only difference I could see was the "rattle can" paint job had a much thinner coat than the spray gun. You had to do 5 or 6 coats to equal 2 from a spray gun. However, exellent results can be had from either. As someone said, "it's all in the prep work".

Thank you for the write up. How long do you figure to do the whole job, I'm thinking of trying to do it in one weekend. Gotta drive the car to work on Monday. I'm thinking the sanding part will take the most time. Thanks.
