When changing to aftermarket HIDs, can one just replace the bulb? Or is changing the wiring/stock ballast required? BTW, I have projectors.

Thanks man! This DIY really helped me a lot. This is really easy actually for anyone who is doubtful they can do this, the only thing is that it is pretty tedious. The hardest part about this is that it's in such a tight little space that its hard to get your hands in there and do what needs to be done, but once you get the hang of it - it's super simple. I must say that the little pop in fasteners are pretty cheap and break easily so be careful with those. I had a bunch that broke so I actually ordered some more for a mere $10 with shipping and I thought I would post the link for anyone else who broke these as well and need some more.

15 come in a box for $10. http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Nis...iners_s/14.htm

Anyways - thanks again for the DIY guide!

Hey guys. What is the stock bulb? Mine is bluish. That's all I can say. At the g35parts site they have some super white and super cobalt and yellow too. I hope the super cobalt is not what comes stock because those things are like $400 for the pair. That sucks! Here's a link: http://www.g35parts.com/Infiniti-G35...how=180&page=1 Tell me this ain't what I gotta buy if I want what's in there now?

That's insane prices for a D2R bulbs. Those seem like the OEM onces if I'm not mistaken. If I were you, I would just buy some off ebay. I got 2 D2R's that were 6000K for $28! You can't beat that. And they are really good too, a lot whiter and brighter than the OEM ones I had.

Awww man, I saw some of those on ebay but I didn't know anyone who had bought them or how satisfied they were so I was scared. Plus I needed to get this fixed before the cops caught me out at night and I don't have access to any other car, so I just bought the one Autozone has. There is not as much blue tint to the light as on the original on the left. I don't know if there is really any blue at all in the one from Autozone. But I was in a hurry. I'm glad I didn't go to the deal to pay $190 for a single one, though. I'd be kicking myself.

Changed the fogs the other day. Such a bitch to get it out of the springs. The hole is so tiny as well. And it was a fail all together. Bought some 5000k "hyper white" h4s from ebay. Turned out same color as OEM fogs/driving lights...

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I just got my 2007 G35x and noticed my passenger running/passenger amber bulb was out. I went to autozone and got two for $7.99. Make sure to get the sylvania long lasting amber ones. They crossmatched it on their computer.

Took me no more than 10 minutes and didn't even have to jack the car up. Just turned the wheel all the way out, took off the clips, and the bulb harness(top with 2 wires comingout) just truned counter clockwise. It pulled right out and the bulb also pulled right back out. No screws to take out so only a flat head screwdrive was used. Easiest thing I have ever done. scale of 1 to 10 it is definately a 1

i just installed my hids today and for some reason the driver side is brighter than the passenger. like i cant see in the drivers side light its like lookin at the sun but i can see directly in the passenger like it looks fine up close but far away looks a little dumb. u think flipping the bulb would help also what are some bulbs that will match my 6000k hids my clearence strip and clear corners are both the color of the stock hids so i have to fix that
