Painting Mesh Grille

I'm not really into the bling bling of my current grill, and I'm not so sure I want to buy an OEM one...so I'll just paint the thing!

I did a search and didn't find any results about prep/supplies and painting (although I'm sureI could figure that part out) when it comes to aluminum/mesh.

I'm going with flat black of course, and I'm still trying to decide if I want to leave the border around the mesh or not.

Oh yah, and the debadge came out well.

If you want it to look really good you should get it powder coated.

Probably be less than $100, it's like $200 to get all 4 wheels done.

Oh and get a tow hook cover.

lol...I knew that was coming. It's on the way.

I didn't even think of a powder coat. Great suggestion. Rims too though?

Sure, but don't do the wheels black go with a darker metallic gray or something.

For the grille I would say leave the trim chrome because if you don't it will probably look like nothing is there from a distance. Maybe mount your Fuji emblem to it as well?

I don't have a Fuji right now. I bought the car used with the grille.

Please, don't keep that on the car, even if it is painted. Take it off and replace it with the OEM grille.
Just do a quick search in the marketplace. Someone's bound to be selling their grille.
