DIY: Painting Door Pulls (100% pictorial)

^Takata Green.

Honestly, I'm happy with the black. It looks better against the tan colors than the sliver (which doesn't really match anything in a wheat interior)
One of these days I'll get around to banishing the rest of the "brushed aluminum" (a.k.a. aluminum painted) look and only have black&tan.

^Oh it's black for sure.
Check the very last pic on the first post, and notice the black buttons in the background. You can tell it's really black in that pic.
I don't think they make a brown like you're looking for unfortunately :/
They have a "Dark brown" but it's like the wrong color, and not really as dark as it should be.

For those who want to see a visual for my attempt to copy factory finish.
Used 600 grit sandpaper to get the original paint off.
Wiped it down with 71% alcohol.
2 coats of Rustoleum Auto primer
Sanded it lightly with 800 grit.
3 layers of Krylon Brushed Metallic Interior paint in Nickle with Satin finish.
Finished with 3 layers of Krylon Clear coat with Satin finish.
This ended up being a bit more silver/lighter then my door handles but I'm happy with them. All thanks to the boyfriend's hard work XD.
We'll see how they hold up to every day use...
Thanks for the great DIY!
