It's going to net you an additional 1" - 1.5" inches of drop in the rear depending on how much you cut off. Also if you have an unbalanced drop in the rear with your springs, you can even it out. A very good and cheap mod!

I measured from the edge of the rim to the edge of the fender. Front it's 2.5in and rear is 3.0in. So cut off 0.5in?

.5" is pretty conservative. I'd take an inch as I don't think that it will give you a negative rake appearance and give you a little more drop. I took as much off as possible but I can also drop my front lower on the coilovers.

If I take more than 0.5", wouldn't it be sagging? Esspecially if I have passenger(s) in the rear.

I'm pretty low in the back after dialing the Tein's all the way down as well as cutting the top mount all the way down. I've had 2 people in the back and I have no issues. I'm also at a net +8 offset with rolled rear fenders. My rear fender cover the tops of the rear tires while I have a small gap up front. Measurment wise, I'm at an equal height all the way around.

Alright I got 0.5in of the springmount trimmed off and my drop is close to even now.

For those of you done the springmount, you guys get a creaking noise when going through a driveway? I'm hearing a creaking noise, likely when the suspension decompresses. redlude97?

I didn't have any creaking noise after the mod but it could be the springs reseating against the top mount.

If that's all it is, it should settle on it's own.

is the creaking coming from the suspension or the roof? I only get one in the roof from the sunroof

Coming from the suspension. When I go up a sloped driveway at a angle, I'm guessing when the rear-right suspension decompress.
