Hawks pads squealing...
I recently changed my entire brake setup from the ****ty OEM's. I am currently running Hawks HPS with new Power slot rotors and the brake squeal, once the pads are heated up is driving me crazy. The squeal seems to only come from the rear pads though. Upon reading the reviews on these pads, it was stated that brake noise was minimum, so I am like WTF. Has any else had this issue with these pads? and how would I resolve it. I even tried bedding my pads over again yesterday, and the pads are still squealing...
did you use brake grease between the pads and backing plates?
How many stops did you make when you bedded them? Did they fade? It took me 7 60-10 stops to make my HPS fade with OEM rotors.

I made five stops from 45--->. What do you mean by fade?

The grease is there to prevent the squealing...there's a reason why it's included in every box of Hawk pads. I bet this will resolve your problem.
5 stops from 45 won't do it.

Grease is always required to reduce squealing, I have never heard someone say it isn't...On the other hand, if it is not the grease, check to see if your rotors are dirty and/or warped. Sometimes the rotor surface isnt smooth and can cause a squeal, if this is the case you will need to machine the rotors or change them. But all in all it is likely the grease...
