Ok so I did some research and found out what up with the vdc and slip turning on. the following reasons are why this light can turn on:
1. break fluid low
2. Change breaks they're worn out
3. Recently aligned and steering sensor is damaged or just tweeking

Mine was the first 2, brakes were so worn down that when i pressed them the fluid would go down so much that it read low fluid code so yea problem solved

This same thing just started happening to me after putting on staggered 19" TE37's. And only when I really get on it and between shift from 2-3rd gear. I'm pretty sure I'm not losing traction. First "Brake" light, then "slip" and "VDC". Stop and start car resets lights. Never thought to check brake fluid level.

After reading this I'm worried. I just had suspension aligned, if it were #3 would light come on only under hard acceleration?

You might check rear and front brake pad. If they off that's might be the problem.

Its your passenger crank shaft sensor. I had the same problem with my 03 coupe 6MT. My VDC, SES, and slip light was on. I ran a diagnostic test on it, and it pulled up the crank shaft sensor on the passenger side. easy fix for a big problem. I found the part at Kragen for $49.99. This should solve your problem, I mean everyones problem.

Worry less about #3....
It's most likely #1, a result of #2.
