Interesting comment. I don't think I am the only that has experienced something different. The install of '05 Z springs on my coupe did not change ride height at all on my '04 coupe. The front has dropped 1/4".

I have had Tanabe Pro SS coilovers on my old Honda Acccord and a friend with another Honda Accord I've rode in had Tein Basics. After driving each others cars, the Teins did seem a little bouncy and unrefined to me compared to the Tanabes. Personally the Tanabes even look like a much, much higher quality piece

Well, I can't change your reality nor will I dispute it. But, oem Z springs, both a 03 set and a 05 set lowered my sedan 1" as verified by a tape measure before and after. And 04 coupe springs that I helped install on a member's sedan, dropped that car 1/2", also verified with a tape measure.

Okay, thanks for that.

Man, I think I'm going to go toward HKS RS then, I don't think the Tein Basics nor the Tanabes are what I'm looking for.

of the 3, this is how i'd rate them:

best to s.hittiest:

HKS RS
Tanabe
Basics

if you're going for ultra low drop, then take out the Tanabe's/Basic's. However, the HKS aren't fully height adjustable too.
