Custom Made Strut

OK, guys don't go nuts on me for this idea. But since theres only a couple struts out there and i don't think any of them are that nice or great. do you think i would be able to make my own? its basically just a bar that goes from one side of ur engine bay to the other. If i use strong metal and weld good welds i think it would be just as good as the aftermarket ones, right? has anyone tryed this?

D-Specs are nice and great for its price range and they fit sedan.
Koni can make your custom damp rates too.

what part of the D-Specs/Koni's did you not like? did you even set it up
correctly with the proper damp rate, proper spring rate, tire pressures,
tire selection, proper wheel offset, alignment, etc.?

you do all that and then let us know why you think you can fabricate
a better one in your basement.

I think what he means is a "Strut Tower Brace", not a strut (big difference) I for one having designed and made a strut tower brace for the G35, know exactly how hard this project of designing, making and actually making one fit, and work in the VERY tight under hood spaces that these cars have. If anyone can implement a better design for less, one that works for less money...... more power too you.
