Staggered sizing, 20" rear 19" front
Staggered sizing, 20" rear 19" front
1st, yes I used search but little to no information. Is anyone running a staggered wheel sizing 20" rear and 19" front similar to the MB? I'm curious on how this affects the overall balance of the car. Thanks
It's perfectly fine as long as you stay within the same overall diameter of wheel/tire combo to keep your VDC light from engaging all the time
Here's a link to a 19/20 staggered setup:

as shyrock stated the key is keep the original diameter. The ideal setup would be 255/35/19 and 285/30/20, that's just about dead on stock diameter. It actually works out that staggering the front/rear 19/20 can get you closer to stock diameters then all 19s or all 20s. The only problem and this is a big one, is that only a few brands make tires in those sizes so your selection is limited.
As far as balance, it's fine. I haven't run into any quarks or bad traits in this setup. If anything it seems like there's a little less understeer. since the diameters are the same VDC is not affected and I haven't run into any issues here.
