Tein S tech?

hey just wondering if anybody installed these springs without replacing their shocks???

i am still doing as much research and hw on lowering a g35, and this particular spring does make the car look really nice.

can you guys tell me if i can get away without camber kit? or changing out my shocks. the comfort of the ride?? any info would help.

thanks

I've had it for almost 3 yrs just the springs. I ended up getting a rear camber kit, but my shock is stock. The 1st time I installed the springs I loved it but after a yr it started to bounce differently. Felt like it needed new shocks and my rear tires wore uneven front and rear the back being worse. If you want to do it right the first time around don't go cheap like I did. Invest in something more worthwhile and durable like adjustable coilover. It will end up saving you money in the end . Regardless of what type of suspension you're getting don't forget to get a rear camber kit trust me on this one. Goodluck with your mods.

You can't go very low without going out of camber spec. The older 350Z springs or the Tein H-tech would be my only guesses.

Even the Zsprings, which are only a 1" drop will put you just out of rear camber spec. My from camber is at -1.5 on either side and the rear is -1.4 on the left & -1.7 on the right. That's as close as i could get the camber to factory specs without a camber kit. So if you really want to lower it 1.5" then get whatever springs drop it that much, but get the D-spec shocks and a rear camber/toe kit, to bring it back into spec.

With z springs in the front and coupe springs in the rear my camber is at -1 degrees front and -1.25 degrees rear. No camber kit needed.

2004.5 and later Z's have rear springs with a spring rate of 427. These are what are referred to as revised springs. The older Z's had rear springs with a spring rate of 342. These are what we refer to as unrevised. The Revised/unrevised terminology only refers to the rear springs. The front springs are the same rate (314) for Z's, coupes, and sedans.

For coupes, 2005 and newer coupes with 19" wheels have the "revised" spring rate of 427 as well.

Sedans with the sports suspension package have stock springs with a rate of 342 (equal to unrevised Z springs or coupe springs from a coupe with 18" wheels).

Springs with a rate of 427 will ride stiffer than springs with a spring rate of 342. Whether this is better or worse depends on what you prefer.
