Here are the pics of the piece I cut:

This is what it looked like installed on the spring. Of course, this is the half inch that I cut off... the leftover spring mount has a cone shape and goes down in between the spring coils.

And now a few shots of my car:

I'm thinking about getting spacers for the rear wheels to push them out a little more (like the front wheels). What do you guys think?

I agree, the car would look much nicer if the rear wheels were more in line with the rear fenders.

it looks to me like a fair amount (maybe too much?) neg camber, if you adjusted that out a bit the top of your rear wheels would "push out" closer to the top of your fender? Maybe an alternative to spacers...

Either way your drop looks sweeeet! I can't wait to drop mine!

LOL, at your sig johnbigbootie! Thanks for the compliments. I'll see what I can do about the rear when I get the car aligned.

I used a hack saw. I used a large C clamp and a piece of wood and had my friend stand on the wood to hold the rubber steady (should have taken a pic of this so you could see what I mean). Then I just cut away. It'll take about 3-5 minutes to get through the rubber.

So i must say the drop looks great in the rear now, however I have a small concern as to what detremental effects cutting that piece out can have on the ride and/or suspension. I mean it had to be there for a reason right?

The car rides the same as stock, no noticeable difference there. I'm pretty sure there wont be any negative results from the piece I cut off (except a tad more neg. camber). See, I only cut a half inch off a larger body of rubber. So that piece is still on the car, just not as tall .

Any way you can draw a quick schematic? I can't really picture how the wood and c-clamp were set up and I'll need to do the same thing with mine likely

LOL, you asked for it!

So basically, I don't have photo shop (wouldn't help if I did, suck at it.) So I did the best I could with MS Paint. This pic pretty much sums up what I did. Install the c clamp as pictured, have your friend stand on the wood so the rubber doesn't move, and saw away. I hope this basic drawing helps somewhat. Feel free to laugh at my Paint skills
