350z H-Tech_Bump Stop

According to the chart G's should cut 1.2(F) and none in the rear. This is for the springs for the G. Does it make sense that it should be the same amount?

How much did you cut off when installing the springs? Since the Z springs are in between the G H-Tech and G S-Tech it appears to be logical. The only other factor I can think of is the higher spring rate...equal to less flex=less chance of the actually compressing to use bump stop (just thinking/writing out loud).

FYI...chart recommends that the bump stop not be cut on Z's

I want to know this as well... My 350Z H Techs came in the mail today. I'll be putting them on on Saturday. I'd like to find out as much as I can to do the install quickly and accurately.

Cool

I asked the same thing when I installed mine a yr or so ago and the consensus was no.....don't cut them.

I didn't and have never had it bottom out.

Not a good idea................

I would wait, drive your car for a while and see how
the new springs react. You probably won't need to
cut the bump stops, the Z springs don't drop your G
that much.

I was told to leave them as is as well. Just had the D Spec9's with 350 H Techs installed. No problems.

Finished the install without cutting anything. (only took about 10 hours doing it by myself) My car looks amazing now! However, I think I'm going to trim maybe a half inch off the rear bump stop to get a little more drop in the rear.

Might want to hold off there. Bump stops do not affect ride height.

You're right, they do not. I meant rear upper spring seat. Not bump stop. I made the cut (half inch) the rear is perfect now.

Yeah, I will go out tomorrow and take a few pics of the car. I had a ton of pics of my car before the H-Techs, but they all got erased so I wont have any before and after shots.

I think he meant pics of the cut spring mount. I'd like pics of that.

Oh... Well, I will take pics of the part I cut off. I'll set it up on my old springs so you guys can get an idea of where it was on the car.
