So I did this mod when I installed my h-techs this weekend, and the rear drop is great, however, I ended up with a bunch of negative camber, and from what I can tell, so did you borahatch. Has your car been aligned yet and were you able to get it back to within stock specs? Doesn't look like it from your pics. I may just swap the stock rear springs back in there with the modified top mount, which should still net me a drop of 1/2-3/4" and hopefully my camber won't be too far off. I think it may be due to the lower spring rate of the h-techs compared to the stock sport suspension springs. Either that, or I'll have to buy the spc rear camber kit and get that installed.

redlude97, your car looks great! And yes, we both picked up a ton of negative camber with our spring mount cuts. I haven't tried to get my car aligned yet (its been about 5weeks since my install) and I'm still waiting for my car to settle. Question: Did you get the H-techs for the G35 or the 350Z b/c I saw you mentioned that the spring rates for the stock springs were higher than the H-Techs which isn't true for the 350Z Version.

Anyway, wait a couple of weeks and then try to get it aligned and if they can't get it within spec, then try swapping out for the stock rear spring.

Side note: Keep an eye on your front drop. My front left wheel dropped a hell of a lot more than my right front. I figure it's settling faster than the other one? Anyone have any insight on this?

borahatch, I have the OEM sport package which has a rear spring rate of 425 while the 350z h-techs have a rear spring rate of 375, so they are stiffer than the nonsport suspension, but not the sport suspension. I think I may be too low in the rear so I'll either swap back to the stock springs, or pick up some OEM 350z revised rear springs and swap those in. Depends on where my front drop ends up, as long as its even, and I can get the camber back within spec, then I'll be happy

Right you are. I was thinking of 03/04 coupes in regards to spring rates. At first I thought I was too low in the rear after the cut, but then my front settled more and the car evened out. With my rims, I am happy with the drop (at least on 3 corners of the car ). Good luck with the 350Z springs. Those will probably get you the rear stance you're looking for. Let me know if you have any issues with your front drop.
