hay, how much you pay to get your springs installed? my car is in the shop rite now because of an accident and they wanna charge $790 to install them.

i hope that 0 at the end is an accident and its $79. if youre getting them installed for $79 then woohoo for you but if youre getting them installed for $790 then youre gettin JIPPED

spring install should range from 150-225. some places will even do it for a 100 but thats rare..

 

your shop is a joke. fire them.

i have the H-tech springs at home and wanted to get them installed at the shop while they were fixing the car.the service writer at the shop was pretty much saying that the local tuner shop wont get the alignment rite,thats why its gonna cost so much..

So, you really shouldn't need any kind of camber kit for the G35(htech) springs, but with the 350z(htech) springs you might need a camber kit? If the drop all around is close to 1 inch .. that could lead to some uneven wear, no? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Also is the $139 shipped price for the 350z htechs or the G35?

you should not need a camber kit for either. the general consensus is that you do not need a camber kit for any drop less than an inch. gdup35sedan works are firestone and was able to get a coupe with 350z h techs back into specs. anything more than an inch youll definitely want to consider a camber kit. oh, and i say you shouldnt need a camber kit because every car out there is different. no one car is the same and its possible that you may need one, but its unlikely. most people with 350z h techs can get by without camber kits.

oh, funny thing at speed and truck world yesterday, they were saying that nobody on this forum knows what they are talking about, because the G35 is heavier than the Z,i should put G35 S-tech instead of the 350z h-tech..

Well the G35 S-Techs are 18% softer than stock Coupe spring rates:

Tein S-tech G35 coupe & sedan (fronts are progressive, rears are linear)
Spring rates in LBS 358/274 (final rates only, softer intial front progressive rate unknown)
Stiffer or softer then oem springs by R+14% R-18%

I don't think most people are happy with softer rear springs. There are a LOT of people on this forum running Z H Techs (hopefully I'll be one of them soon), and I have yet to find anyone who's NOT happy with them. FWIW.
