I have a Hotchkis front bar with collars, knowing what I ask of that bar, no way I would run without collars. My rear 350EVO bar has collars too.
Hey - Hotchkis owners, I'm glad I found you! I've been running with collars for about 2 years. The handling is great, but every few months the collars start banging against the bushing mounts when I go over uneven pavement. I have to jack the G up, loosten the mounts, reposition the bars and the collars, and then things are fine again.
Have any of you experienced this?
How do you position your collars - right up against the mount / to the inside or outside of the mount / any and all suggestions and input greatly appreciated.

Are you asking this question about the front or rear bars?
I got the new Hotchkis bars with the 4 holes up front. The front bar has collars but I was surprised that the rear bar didn't. Anyone have problems with the rear bar shifting?

I'm asking about the front. FWIW, I'm taking the collars off right now. I'll give this a spin for a few hundred miles and see what things look like after that. I have collars on the rear, but no knocking out of them.
Wouldn't you know it? After I took of my collars, the knocking continued. I think I may have a bad endlink. So - I guess my opinion on collars has changed and I'll be putting them back on when I fix the end link.

before i had collars, i heard squeaking from the front everytime i went over a bump, my rear sway bar linkage had to be replaced (clicking noise not from axle).
after collars, i had no knocking...

You definitely want the collars. I installed the sways before my collars came in. Did an AutoX and put it on the lift to put on the collars when they arrived. Had to reposition the bar before installing the collars, b/c they'd shifted quite a bit.
