Tein CS VS Tein SS
What's the difference? they have the same spring rates... just different tube constructions. Mono & Twin. Which is better? Anyone can clear this up for me ?
Also, do I need a camber kit if I plan to install the coilovers but not drop the car?
Thanks

Spring rates are only half the story. The valving inside the damper is diffrent for both.
CS is a softer ride, similar to stock. Even on its hardest setting it will not be much stiffer than stock.
SS is a little more performance oriented, but still maintains a good comfort level on its softer settings. On its hardest settings it will be stiffer than stock and you will be able to notice a performance diffrence.
If you do not lower the car at all, your probably won't need a camber kit with these.

^ Wow, that is pretty pricey, but it is a very intensive install. Too bad you're not in SoCal, I would install it for cheaper for you =P
Maybe if you order those coilovers, you can come down to pick them up. Save on shipping, and save on the install...

I'm looking for something slightly softer than stock for when my wife rides, slightly stiffer for everyday driving, and somewhat stiffer for a track day. I've pretty much decided on the CS w/EDFC, but I am still trying to get opinions, as I haven't spent the money yet, and probably won't until after the New Year

There is no way Tein CST is softer than my stock suspension.

Second, the valving is a lot less aggressive on the CS vs. SS. The spring rates might be the same, but the valving can be completely different.
Hopefully this will help to answer your questions!
