I would try Eibach pro street coilovers before I would take a leep of faith on JDM CPV35 S-tunes. Though if you ment Z33 S-tunes, that's a different story.

Ive spent a week randomly reading threads about G35/350z springs and am ready to step up to the plate. I am down to only 2 choices...
The published information says;
350Z S Tech F:386 / R: 482 F: -0.7" / R: .6" SKP26-AUB00
g35C S Tech F:358 / R: 274 F: -1.2" / R: -.9" SKP30-AUB00
I want to pair up the closest rate to my wifes '06. Also, I dont want to throw the camber so far out that it cant be brougth back within a reasonable level. From what I have read, the S-techs are on the hairy edge, which is fine with me.
Anywho, which of these two do you suggest and why? The drop looks pretty close on paper, but is that really the case (1.2 vs 1.2, and 1.1 vs .9) Dont know how realistic it is when we randomly add 0.5" to the #s.

Im not sure if that response was directed to me or not. If so, like I said above..Originally Posted by aHero4Eternity
depends what youre looking for...springs rates are way different
I want to pair up the closest rate to my wifes '06 If I cant tell the difference, then this is a null point anyway. Also, to reiterate what I asked above, is the real life drop different between using the 350z's or G35's.
i cant remember off the top of my head what the spring rates are for stock springs...but does your wife's 06 have sport package? springs are different iirc
and ive only seen a couple 350s techs on g's...but they look amazing...same with the g s techs

nah you said all 06s have sport package

and sorry, i cant remember off the top of my head the spring rates of the springs from the sport springs...maybe someone else will chime in...i'm too lazy to search it myself
(great way to start the new year, eh? it's only the first and already i'm getting lazy!)

OK, from what I've researched:
Stock sport package spring rates:
Front 314
Rear 427
350Z STech specs:
-Front: 386
-Rear: 403
G35 STech Specs:
-Front: 358
-Rear: 274
You make the decision, I know what I would do... All of this found on http://www.velocityfactor.net/wwwroo...dCategory=1617
not the best prices but good info...

Thanks for the info. Now I am really in a pickle.
Do I want the Z's with a closer rear rate, or the G35 ones which I can be sure give the right drop.
That site is so confusing
On the Z it says; Average drop of 1.5 inches then 2 lines down it says
Ride Height Drop(inches):
Front: -0.7
Rear: -0.6
Anywho, Ive seen pictures of both types now....its a toss-up. It does seem to slam the crap out of the front end though. ke104, what would you do?

If I had to decide between those two I would go with the 350z STech springs, but as you have probably read in earlier posts I'm going with coilovers instead... The bottom line is what are you looking to achieve?

I didn't feel like reading through the thread. I'm sure someone beat me to it, but here it is again, just in case:
DO NOT get the S. Techs for the G. Spring rates aren't good.
that is all...
