Wheel order dilemma. Please chime in.

THIS THREAD IS NOT INTENTED TO FLAME. So please keep it flame free. Just looking for opinions.

Here's the scenairio.

Okay so I ordered DPE wheels from this thread awhile back. 4-6 week turn around time. after the 8th week, it's 50 dollars refund each week it's late.

https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension/112568-dpe-special-20-off-g35driver-members.html

It took 8 1/2 weeks until it was done. Confirmed on this thread

https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension/127739-creative-autoworks-holiday-wheel-special.html

I got $50 dollars off that deal because it was a week late.

I paid the remaining amount on 12/04/06.

I called to make sure everything was ok with the payment and got a confirmation that the wheels would be picked up on the 11th monday, sent out on 13th wednesday and receive it on the 18th Monday.

Monday rolls by and nothing. I give them a call on the 19th and they said DPE has it and they will be sending the wheels instead, the next day.

I'm thinking no problem, the wheels should be here soon. I'm usually pretty patient.

I wait until the next day (20th) to call to make sure they sent the wheels. They tell me it has not been sent out yet and they'll try to contact DPE.

Now i'm thinking hmm, what is wrong with DPE so I gave them a call to get some information regarding my wheels. They said the dealer has to fax shipping labels and confirmation payment. So I call the dealer back and asked them what is going on with the faxes and they just told me they'll fax all the necessary items for DPE to ship it out.

I wait until thursday (21st) to give DPE a call to make sure they received the fax. They said they didn't receive it yet. So I had to call the dealer again to budge them to fax the stuff. They tell me the same thing as the day before, they'll fax it before the day ends.

So now friday rolls around (22nd) I called both DPE and the dealer again and nothing has been done. The dealer said they already faxed it and DPE said they only received the shipping labels but no letter. Around 8pm DPE calls me saying they will be able to ship out the wheels and i'll receive Christmas week.

So Tuesday (26th) rolls around and I called DPE to make sure they shipped it.. but they didn't ship it out yet because they didn't receive the fax. They told me they'll try to contact them to see what's going on.

So the rest of the week, the same scenario happens with me calling back and forth.

and Now... the same.. DPE is trying to get a hold of the salesman.

cliff notes: ordered wheels 14 weeks ago. Was ready 3 1/2 weeks ago (ALMOST A MONTH). Been contacting my salesman and dpe to ship out wheels. Wheels cannot be shipped because dealer has not faxed the necessary paperwork to DPE.

ok so if you click on the first link, you'll see that deal that says "$50 dollars off every week it's late." This week is week 14. So technically I should be getting back $250- $50 (they already took out $50) = $200. Am I right? or....? you decide. I'm not very happy right now after spending so much.

thanks for listening.

I think you have it right. That's what they promised. By my calculation thought you should be getting $300 off total less the $50 they already gave you. (14-8=6, 6*$50-$50=$250) They advertised that is what they would do. They have to stand behind it or should stand behind it. Good luck. You have been a lot calmer than I would have been by now.

If I were you, I would be beyond pissed. I work in distribution, and your reseller is slacking off. DPE has guidelines to follow, and must rely on the reseller to follow through and this is a pure case of the reseller being irresponsible. Be the squeaky wheel even if it is out of character for you. It seems to be the only way things get done now-a-days.

let me guess, Creative Autoworks???

I got screwed big time too, they told me 4 to 6 weeks and it ended up taking 17 weeks. Plus they never sent me the lug nuts as promised. I finally had to talk to DPE directly to get things moving along. DPE was real good to work with, I talked to Jojo over there. But Creative, James, was a nightmare, they stoped returning my calls after a while. Good luck to you, when I saw that thread a couple of months ago, I was going to give a warning to all, but I figgured I'd give Creative the benefit of a doubt. But seeing how this is happening all over again to someone else I figgured I chime in.

BUT....the wait will be worth it, DPE makes some beautiful wheels and the attention to detail is incredible. The finishes they provide are awesome.

You have been way too patient, and I say only patient because I do not want to offend you. I think you now need to become very impatient and irritated, but polite. Start demanding things or just get your money back and settle for something else somewhere else.

Although I got my wheels in a decent amount of time (happened to be in stock) from Creative. It took multiple calls asking if he did ship after him saying it would ship and he'd contact me with tracking and never hearing from him till I called. I don't whats so hard about good honest customer service.

Did they charge your credit card?? If so the merchant has 30-days to get you the product. Otherwise I would call your credit card company and file a dispute. This should prevoke a response from the merchant.

hold on there, don't bag on DPE they have great customer service. It's Creative Autoworks fault for making false promises. I had to go thru so much **** with them to get my wheels shipped even after it was in their hands. one excuse after another. submit a complaint with the BBB that's what I did. Even after a couple of months I got a letter from the BBB and they said that Creative did not respond to them either, WTF kind of customer service is that? Next time I'm shopping elsewhere.

thanks for your support. It is NOT DPE's fault. They just need the necessary paper work from the dealer to ship them out. They're doing more that necessary to help me out and to get the wheels out of their warehouse.

I can't get my money back because I paid by check. I just want my wheels!

This is another reason why I stay away from creative. I've had a bad experience with them also! Hope you get your wheels soon!!
