lower control arm bushings?

Can I get just the bushings for the lower control arms? Infiniti is telling me I need to buy the entire lower control arms at $200+ each, that's ridiculous. Is there an aftermarket option? Thanks!

I'm having the same problem after installing TEIN basics, anyone know if it's possible to replace just the bushings?

NICE!!! Thank you!!! Wish I had found them back in Feb when my car was in the shop.

izmir41500 - unfortunately going through an Infiniti dealer isn't of much help, Infiniti does not sell the bushing as a separate part, you have to buy the whole control arm assembly if you go the dealership route.

Heard it'd be too much trouble to replace the bushings, takes special machine and couple hours.

robr, does the busted bushings affect your driving? My steering wheel vibrates at speeds above 50mph, still trying to figure out if it's due to the bushings or simply need a wheel balance.

I can't really say how it affects the ride, I bought the car in Feb and as part of my pre-purchase inspection, it was pointed out to me that I needed new bushings. I do have a slight vibration as well at certain speeds, but I think I've read in these forums that it's somewhat common.

Interesting to hear that perhaps the amount of labor required to replace the bushings might not make financial sense compared to just buying new control arms.

ggong, did you get just the bushings? Do you have Tony@riverside's contact info? I'm hoping it's just one of the lead weights falling off the wheel during installation, which can be solved by simple wheel balancing.

i know on some BMW's you can press out the old bushing out of the arm .. but on the new 7 series you have to replace the whole arm
