Revised spring question....
You would likely get a slightly bouncier ride due to the increased springrate without extra dampening that the sport tuned suspension shocks provide and yield very little if any drop in the rear. So my question is why you would want to do such a thing
Sorry, I've got a line on some used '06 350Z springs. These are the revised type correct??? All I would need to do this inexpensively is to buy some '06 350Z struts and shocks correct.
Sorry to be a post ***** but, here is my deal. I am not racing the car, just "spirited" street driving. I used the search button and came up withthe revised 350Z springs as a good alternative. Slight drop in ride height and a stiffer spring in the rear.
I did some searching on www.performancenissanparts.com and came up with the following prices:
1) Koni Yellow $621
2) Tokico D $592
3) '06 G35 Coupe $389
4) '05 350Z $480
As stated above, I found some '06 350Z springs front and rear. I understand that with the higher spring rate in the rear I will need new shocks. Also remember that I am NOT racing this car and really have no desire for the adjustability of the Koni's or Tokico's.
I understand that the revised spring and my current '04 springs have the same 314 psi spring rate. The difference is one is slightly shorter, correct??
If so do I need to swap the front struts with the springs or just change the rear shocks?
If swapping all four, can I get by with the G35 strut/shock? They are $200 cheaper than the Tokico's and maybe a bit cheaper still if I buy them through my shop.
What is the difference between the '06 G35 strut/shock and the '05 350Z strut/shock. There is a $100 difference here. Should I use 350Z struts/shocks with 350Z springs? I thought they were both the same...

O.K. let's make this simple..
I have four (4) 2006 350Z springs.
I own a 2004 G coupe 6MT.
2005 G coupe struts AND shocks= $389.00
2005 350Z struts AND shocks= $480.00
My question.
Why the price difference?
Are they the same shock AND strut?
