another Hawks pads vs ???? question ...just agree or disagree

Ive been searching this forum looking to find something better or very comparable with the Hawks pads (not because i dont want them) but because from this site it does seem hawks is the "way to go" & Im the type of person who likes to compare things ...but from this site it seems there is no competition for Hawks pads when it comes to...
good performance + creating minimal brake dust

I know some pads will outperform Hawks but the cost is more brake dust & Im looking for a good combination of both. Safety & Time is valuable to me & I dont want to compromise safety by buying inferior pads or my time by cleaning my rims every other day
is there any other company with a better balance of these 2 things?

anyone disagree?

I'm for Hawks............

One of the things I disliked about my G35 was how damn dirty my Volks got
in just a few blocks. I waited for two years to do something about it (dumb)
and finally installed a set of Hawk HP pads using the recomended break-in
proceedure........they stop great.....80% less dust.......no noise! What more
can you expect?

I've used 4 different brake pads throughout the ownership of my coupe. I'll never use Hawk HPS again. I currently have Project Mu B-Force and love them. I think I'm going to stick with them from here on out as long as they last a decent amount. The only good thing about the HPS pads was that them bitches lasted forever.

Excellant low temp low speed [30F] initial bite requires dust [carbon dust] to work.

I don't own the Project Mu B-Forces myself, but in my searches I've heard good things.

What Rotors and Calipers are you using? Stock?

Did you also switch out to SS lines?

I had hawks and I was pleased with them. Very little brake dust. Gripping power was less than OEM though.

OEM Brembo calipers with Brembo slotted rotors. All pads were tested on that setup. Brake lines are stock, using DOT 4 brake fluid.

+1 on the Project Mu B-force and the Endless pads. I have read good reviews on both and I actually replaced my OEM with the Endless SS-S pads. Minimal dust, great bite, no noise, NO COMPLAINTS! The Vita Nuova pads are also good for more sedantary drivers. Unfortunately, these other choices will run you more $$$ than the Hawk pads.

Thanx guys for your responses
anyone else with some input on this subject I would be glad to hear it

I did forget to mention I would only like to hear from ppl that have the stock Brembo calipers because I am replacing stock brembo pads, if u have aftermarket rotors please mention

anyone else have anything to say about the Project MU or Endless
compared to hawks do either of those
1. last longer
2. have better stopping power
3. create less dust

.

I'd forget stopping power. IF you mean less FADE then it's significant. Especially if you drive hard.
Tires make the biggest difference for braking distance.
I think you are right on with less dust and better wear. Also, 'bite' especially when cold. Not sure if noise is a factor, good installation affects that a lot.

I wanted to resurect this thread to ask the people who have had the MU pads to see if they still like it. I'm replacing my oem brembo pads and wanted to get a pad that is just as good if not better in terms of the stopping power (friction coefficient...). My top choices besides the brembo oems are mu B-force and mu NS. Which one would you get and how do they compare with brembo stocks as far as stopping is concerned.

Also is B-Force worth the extra 20$ vs teh NS?

Thanks.

Porterfield > Hawk.

I had hawks HP+, they were ok compared to the Porterfield R4. Come to think of it...HP+'s werent any better than the OEM brembo compound. You should be also looking at the type of tires that you're using. Tires makes a big difference in braking.
